They didn't even bother to translate what the tv anchor says in his scenes. Its only an hour and a half long and theres only 3 characters in the game: Makoto, Akane and Nozomu besides the navigator, doctor, hacker and tv anchor which just sort of exist or are walking plot devices. This is unironically the worst "game" I've ever played. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even if this game is available at 1$, I would felt like a ripoff after playing this. He is great creator of Danganronpa but not this. Part word: As a fan of Kadoka, Tookyo and his game, it makes me realize that sometimes just because you make one good series, it does not mean you should blindly like and buy all the game he create. If you like the story, Just watch edge of tomorrow. If you want great gameplay, go and play Danganronpa. Conclusion: Promotion and concept make it looks like a great game but then it is just this normal visual novel games. They have the making of game which filled with Japanese humor that I am not sure whether Japanese people would even like it. For those who expect some post content, try to die in all the ways.

It is not memorable and as a fan, this is disappointing. It maybe due to Short story and little development. The story is make me felt that Kadoka is just another mystery genre writer because it is very cliché. They use lots of celebrity but is it that interesting? Not quite.

Short movie results in poor or little character development and nothing memorable about character after the game. The story is shorter than movie ranging at around 1-3 hour depending on skipping the cutscene. It comes in almost 20 languages subtitle but the text format for some language like Thai are poor format leading to uncomfortable experience that make me change to English subtitle 10 minutes into this thing. It is even worst as it does have some lag on switch when trying to move 10 second forward. Even the worse variation would be more fun and interactive than this game. For 16$, It would be more worthy of your money if you go to the real escape room. You just watch movie until the end and finish. You watch movie then you choose path, if it is wrong you die and get medal. Gameplay: Visual novel with split path in the end. However, this is a massive downgrade from Danganronpa and even worse variation of Edge of tomorrow. It also has visual novel and revolving time-loop element similar to Edge of Tomorrow movie. I bought it on day 1 at 16$ price tag which is simply a mistake.

Initially, the concept was interesting as it is another variation of death game from Kazutaka Kodaka who is widely known for Danganronpa series featuring real actor. It is certainly rough to give a score or even rate the game Death Come True. In one sentence: YouTube video experience deceiving as a game. highly recommended if you got a few hours to kill just don't turn it off until you play through it at least once to actually save it.

There are a few youtube like clips that a'rent subtitled yet and there are medals for every outcome possible/ achievements but for its price it did what it set out to do. There are a few missed branches trimmed down to keep the game easy to understand or time constraints/ Money constraints. Branched story? Yes! Smart acting and good quality movie? Definitely! Extras to add to the lore expanding on things? Mostly. This game is for a few people to be open minded enough to give japanese media and thought process a try without any other preconcieved notions of what a FMV or a game should be and ticks all the boxes to be one. There are several devcesions to be made in this mostly linear story but for under half the cost for a Telltale game and comes jam packed with bloopers, side branches adding a bit of lore to the world and how japanese directors differ on movie scripts as well as replayability for extra information through side branches. It shows an inside look into expensive production and set pieces while keeping the price of the fmv relistic and fans new and old something to chew on while the next Danganronpa or Zero Escape is being made. It shows an inside look Death come True is a japanese FMV for Under the price of a regular movie or around the price of a ticket to see one.
